I just wanted to let you know that Jared just booked his first role on a feature film. The movie is a DreamWorks production titled Opposite Day. He also went out for feature films with big names like John Travolta, Robin Willians, Will Smith, Rebert De Niro and just recently a film with Eric Bana. On the film Old Dogs with Robin Williams and John Travolta, his performance got up loaded to the director's reel. Which is really good. He has also been pinned for a part on Criminal Minds and was up for a reoccurring role on One Tree Hill.

He's doing really well and loves it! We're up in LA at least 3 times a week and he's added 2 commercials to his resume. Oscar Mayer and Hometown Buffet.

Thank you to all the teachers and staff at John Robert Powers,

My son (Jaime Battle) and I (Veronica Robello) would like to take this opportunity to thank everyone at John Robert Powers in helping my son learn the skills he needed to receive his first call back.

My son has been with JRP for about a year and a half and he has had his share of not receiving callbacks from the auditions he attended. It has been a very challenging trek but with the positive encouragement and feedback from the staff my son has been able to grow and learn more each day. Jaime also has taken it upon himself to practice his skills at home in front of the mirror. This has helped him to see what he feels he needs to improve on and then reflects this in class. My son takes the acting classes seriously and is very open minded to constructive criticism. Jaime believes that the more you try and practice the better you get. Learning and improving yourself never stops.

The staff here at JRP know how to guide you and teach you the skills you need to be successful, but it is also an individual effort as well. When my son received his first callback, I was told that he would need to do two cold reads and his commercial at the audition. I quickly called JRP and asked if there was a cold reading crash course my son could take to prep him to land the callback. Doug called me back and he was very happy to help my son with the cold reading. Doug worked with my son one-on-one for an hour. After the class was over, Doug showed me the video recording of the cold reads my son did. Doug gave us his feedback on  how well my son was doing and any improvements he needed. This was fantastic. Giving Jaime this extra class helped boost his confidence and this helped him to land the callback and get an agent for commercials and print.


If it hadn’t been for the professionalism and the wide range of knowledge that the teachers have at JRP, my son would not have such a great opportunity nor an agent.

Thank you so much for your kind words. I am so happy for Jaime. He is a great kid, and I am so glad we were able to guide him during such an important time in his life. It really means a lot to us that parents like you understand that here at John Robert Powers we cherish every child's success whether or not they are receiving callbacks from agents. Every child is special and unique; their development with acting is no different. We just hope we can have a positive impact on each and every one of their lives so that they may have a bright future in all areas of their lives.
I am so proud of your son. He has truly made noticeable strides from when he first sat down in my office, to the polished young man he has grown into, with nothing but potential standing in his way
